Date: 2004-04-07 11:42 pm (UTC)I've heard that it's a mix of established conservative Irish folk (socially, not fiscally) and the increasing gay community that's been moving in. Needless to say there's friction because of it. I've heard it can be an unpleasant place to be if you're non-white and sometimes even non-male. I've also heard that it's cheap as hell, as far as Boston goes. Rabbit found an apartment share there on one of her queer mailing lists that was $200/person.
