[livejournal.com profile] reporteraliza and I were out at dinner last night at the local kosher deli.
While we were there, I overheard two couples talking a few tables over, and I heard one of the men mention that it's been 40 years since he's seen the other.

On one hand, it must be nice to be able to pick up with an old friend so much later on in life, and still be able to connect. On the other hand? If you've got someone who you'd be friends with four decades later, why lose touch in the first place?
