Dear Maimonides parents, graduates and friends,
As many of you know, Sharon Steiff, long-time teacher and department chair in the Maimonides upper school, is awaiting a match for a bone-marrow transplant in her battle with leukemia.
Massachusetts General Hospital is sponsoring a free bone-marrow screening this Friday, July 25, between 10 a.m., and 3 p.m., in the hospital’s main corridor. Participants will be added to a national bone marrow registry, and could be the source of a life-saving donation.
Please spread the word about this opportunity. Plans are also taking shape for a bone-marrow screening to be held at Maimonides within the next few weeks.
Please contact Deborah Yolin (617-724-1124, or dyolin@partners.org with any questions about Friday’s event.
