(no subject)
Sep. 19th, 2002 12:56 amToday was a day.
So, y'all may remember my previous rant about client's abusive boyfriend.
He's been banned from the property, and keeps coming around, so we're taking out a No Trespassing order against him.
So, our story resumes.
I leave work at six today, and walk to the bus stop. Who's standing there? You got it.
Since I'm on my cellphone (hi,
browngirl) he assumes I'm calling across the street to let them know he's nearby. Admittedly, I did just that, and when he made a move towards the house, co-worker called 911, cops came, and spooked him off, somewhat. He's still standing by the bus stop, cussing me out left and right, and occasionally walking across the street to cuss out co-worker. He even asked me to call my client and tell her he was waiting for her.
Do I look stupid? Not nearly.
So, discretion being the better part of valor, I hoof it down the block to the previous bus stop, assuming alky-crackhead boyfriend-boy won't follow me. He doesn't.
However, he's still at the bus stop, and gets on when the bus pulls up.
Doesn't say much to me, just gestures a lot. Now, I'm peeved, and he's treating my client like poop, but I can't do anything remotely resembling my comment to Ayesha, "but I haven't punched anyone in the head in weeks..."
But...
He's harassed and threatened my co-worker, and me. Heck, he harassed me when I was off-shift, and ostensibly a private citizen.
Screw the No Trespassing order, we can probably get a restraining order set up now.
Sometimes, my friends, the system works.
(Of course, failing the system, I can enlist some SCA friends with broadswords...)
