July 5th...

You can never call in sick on July 5th, especially if it's a Friday. It just looks bad.

So, here I am, queasy and sore, counting the minutes until either my boss shows up or 3:30 happens.

I'm really lucky Hyim agreed to do the Shabbat cooking while the rest of the family's away this weekend, I think I'm gonna go home and fall over. If I feel up to it, I may try to pick up my comics first, but it's doubtful.

Wow. I must really be sick... :-)

You and me both. I'm at my desk, miserable as I've been all week, but half my department is out on vacation, so I *had* to come in.

Eek. *hugs* I felt like that earlier this week because of the heat, and sipping Gatorade slowly helped a lot. Electrolyte balance problems can definitely cause nausea, which is why chicken soup helps cure it. :)

Double eek. Are you feverish? Feeling overheated? Is your parents' house air-conditioned?

If you can eat some crackers or dry toast, I'd recommend that, too.

folks house is air-conditioned in three rooms, I think I may have spiked a fever yesterday, but not today. I'm achey, tired, my throat's soreand my eyes itch.

geez..it must be going around. I got picked up for work at 8 this morning, feeling like shit, and looking it, too. Fortunately, I'm working out of a small office where it doesn't matter, and after I collapsed into a napping heap on the floor of the workroom, I left for the rest of the day. Of course, as soon as I'm feeling vaguely alive again, my other jobs (from home) beckon, and I'll be working most of the weekend..but I still hate having to bail like this.
