One of those sorts of Sundays
Jul. 26th, 2010 06:44 am-Woke up
-BoltBussed to NYC
-checked into hotel (The Hudson Hotel. Nice, but deeply weird looking)
-Met up with
reporteraliza's brother and sister, who were also at the hotel
-Took a cab to Williamsburg for
reporteraliza's cousin's wedding. (Surprisingly nice, more about it later)
-Took a car service back to the hotel, fell over.
-Woke up at 5AM to get to JFK for my flight home, in order to make it to work on time. Aliza will be puttering around with family, and taking a bus home later.
So, all told, less than 18 hours in New York, I'm surprisingly tired. I have a Powerpoint presentation I could be working on, but I suspect it'll wait until I have more conciousness to spare.

Date: 2010-07-26 11:16 am (UTC)I'm undecided if the following meets the criteria for stupid trip: leave Boston at 5, sleep in small hotel in upstate NY. Arrive near Pittsburgh at noon. Sleep overnight in a tent. Leave PA at 1 PM the following day (Sunday), stay overnight at a hotel in Western MA, arrive at work by 9. I think it was a stupid trip... but it was also worth it. There was substantial time at my destination.
