Israel- Day 5 Recap

aribDay five has been lots of fun.
We went from Aliza's aunt and uncle's place over toTel Aviv to see Israel's Independence hall, and take a brief tour. (Not nearly as old-timey as things in the US, but still fun.)
After a break for lunch, we went to the Palmach Museum, which was really interesting, and really well organized. I don't remember much of what I learned about Israel's founding, so this was a good refresher.
After that, we headed back to Jerusalem, had dinner with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mick_hale, his wife Y, and their wee twins, then checked back into our hotel. Later in the evening we met up with abacaximamao, an old high school friend of mine who's in Israel for the year, and had coffee/drinks/dessert.
Unexpected find of the day- I successfully found a Hebrew translation of John Scalzi's Old Man's War, aka Milchemet HaAdam HaZaken. It should be fun to read.
Up eventually- a list of things that have changed since I was here last, as well as some things that haven't.
