In a nutshell:

Friday was spent travelling to Tel Aviv with Aliza's cousin. We poked around an art fair, and did a little shopping, then headed to Aliza's aunt and uncle for Shabbat.

Shabbat was really nice. We stayed with Aliza's aunt and uncle, and her cousins were all in town, so we got to meet them as well. Also, toddlers are cute no matter what language they speak. :-)

Saturday night was spent running round Tel Aviv looking for a place to eat, and watching cars get towed, which led to two realizations:

-It's about as hard to find an open Kosher restaurant at 11:30 on a Satuday night in Tel Aviv as it is in Boston.

-Tel Aviv has the coolest tow trucks ever. They're basically flatbed trucks with sideways-facing forklifts that scoop up improperly parked cars in 15 seconds flat. Over the course of 15 minutes, the same two trucks came by 3-4 times.

I would imagine that Tel Aviv has a rather different view of illegally parked cars than we do. To us, they're annoying. In Israel? Potential bombs. So a quick "scoop and scoot" would be my plan too.

I'd love to see how thick the wall between the cab and bed was.

Ah. Found a video
