Thanks to Delicious Library 2, I'm finally starting to get a handle on all of my media. Over the course of a few episodes of 24, I've cataloged all of our DVDs, and a few books.

Neat toy.

Yup, I'm jealous. Why can't they make a PC version? Mind you, my testing suggests my pathetic built in webcam can't actually work as a bar code scanner, but... still, cool.

Is there a trick to using the camera? I just bought this for Dani for his birthday and he's having trouble reliably getting scans -- sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Good lighting helps. Also, starting out with the barcode far away from the green squares, and moving it forward works well, too.

Some things just don't scan, and you need to look them up manually.

Thanks. We were starting close and moving out. This seems to work better (though still seems a little spotty).

I see that the 2.1 patch will include documentation. That would be good. :-)

Very cool. I had no idea that this existed. Any idea if you can export from Delicious Library 2 to Library Thing (http://www.librarything.com/)?

No clue.

Also, I had no idea you read my blog. :-)

Alas, only once in a very rare while. I used to read a lot of blogs. Then I resigned from my office job to go learn Torah. Batei Midrash and keeping up with blogs are largely incompatible. Now I am working on several different projects and looking for work for next year (back to NYC), so reading blogs is also, necessarily, limited.
