On Facebook...
Oct. 6th, 2008 11:08 pmI've had a facebook account since August, and I think I've figured out how I feel about it.
In a word, "meh."
It's nice to be able to reconnect with people that I've lost touch with, but there's very little depth to it unless I really work at it. There are a few people that I'm regularly e-mailing with, but for everyone else that I'm facebook friends with it's a very vague, shallow, sort of "oh, there you are" kind of thing.
I'm not about to cancel my facebook account or anything (and feel free to add me if you'd like), but I really prefer blogging.
All that said and done with, what's the deal with Twittr?

Date: 2008-10-07 04:23 pm (UTC)FWIW, I don't use MySpace at all, though I do have an account. I find it tacky and full of Flash. Just because there's editor to let everyone web design doesn't mean everyone should. Yikes.
I like Twitter b/c it updates to my phone for those folks I like hearing snippets from. And it's a way to drop tiny thoughts without actually writing an LJ entry every time. And folks can opt out from reading them.
YMMV, of course.
