I'm Jewish, matzah is so-so (it's totally fine if you put yummy stuff on it!), and I hate macaroons.

A bowl of matzoh is like a big assed bowl of chicken and dumplings :)

Only crunchier and with far less flavor.

I've never had a crunchy matzoh ball... If/when you all come out this way, I will see if Sara is up to making matzoh ball soup...

See, you said a "bowl of matzah," or at least that's what I read. :-)

Aliza makes my favorite sort of matzah balls- dense enough to sink ships.

Matzah is fine, not hateful, not delicious. It's pretty much what you do with it, unless you chew it for a very long time- at which point it becomes sugar water in your mouth.

I'm not Jewish and, to the best of my knowledge, I've never encountered matzah.

macaroons are only delicious if they are the homemade ones, the manishevitz canned ones are pretty eh.

I'm fond of matzah, but despise macaroons with a passion. Home-made are barely stand-able, canned would be more suitable to being treated as projectile weapons, if only it weren't so cruel to the enemy.

All yours, hon. I'd even deliver them at less than projectile speeds. :)

And then there's ring jells, and fruit slices, and...

I almost bought my friends a solid chocolate (kosher for Passover!) seder plate when I was at Rein's this weekend, but it looked a little too sacrelicious.

The same thing's on sale at the Butcherie, in Brookline. This elevates it from sacrilicious (mmm) to darn near snacktified.

matzah= the unleavened bread eaten by Jews on Passover.

For most Orthodox (and most Conservative) Jews, it's the only grain product that you can eat for the whole week of the holiday. (Jews of Sephardi origin have a tradition of still being able to eat legumes and some other grains like rice or corn).

The poll seems to be confirming my theory, which I'll write about later
