What's geekier?

1. That the folks behind Bionic Woman had a TV playing a snippet from BSG in the background

or

2. That it was a five second clip and I still knew which episode it was from?

I think it probably depends on the episode.

2, but I'm not surprised! *gets excited for the movie*

2 must be geekier, because I only figured out 1.

1) Only requires the directors/producers/writers/whatevers to actually, you know, watch television.

2) requires skill.

The result. 2 is geekier.

(I can do the same thing with ST:TOS, along with several episodes of L&O. But then again, I've been able to see the episodes much more often than BSG.)

1 is even simpler than that: they don't have to watch it, there's enough staff overlap that they were the ones who made it.

Personally, I thought it was a bit tacky, myself.

#2 was geekier. It's like listening to The Picardo Song and being able to identify which episodes each quote comes from.
