Movies movies movies...

Over the past few days I've seen Super Size Me and Shaun of the Dead.

While I really enjoyed both of them, I've got to say, Super Size Me was far scarier.

I just saw it a few days ago too (rented it from Netflix) -- and having seen Shaun of the Dead too, I have to agree with you.

The thing that drives me nuts about Super Size Me is the whole premise is idiotic. No one, not even McDonalds, say you should eat nothing but their food. The filmmaker went out and did something that McDonalds itself says is unhealthy and then was shocked, shocked! when a diet of fast food turned out to be unhealthy.

Add in the fact that Spurlock ate 5,000 freaking calories every day while studiously avoiding excercise...

Spurlock is a liar and a fraud.

Couldn't agree more. I'd have a hard time thinking up a more stupid idea for a documentary. If it were like Rocky Horror or MST3K, with callbacks at the movie, every few minutes someone would be saying "Thank you, Captain Obvious!"

"Super Size Me"

It was also total nonsense. I did a report on it last fall; I'll see if I can find it.

I loved that scene in Shaun where they were critiquing the records before throwing them, though.

When I want a real laugh I watch the Friday the 13th movies.

"Which one's that?"
"Batman soundtrack."
"Throw it."

"Super Size Me was far scarier" - Cause you're going to be switching to a Mcdonalds real soon? ;)
