What? The tunnel is perfectly safe. The faulty concrete won't fail for at least, oh, ten years. Or it would have failed by now if there was anything really wrong with it. Falling rubble? Complete fluke. Leak? What leak? Ok, so we're pumping a little more than the permitted amount out of the tunnel and into the Harbor, but what the hell, most of it is Harbor water anyhow, right?

Are Bechtel et al. safe from a wrongful death suit? I suspect the Commonwealth is, given that there's a general "pass at your own risk" law for roadways. Then again, how would they ever manage to find a neutral jury?

It really worries me that it doesn't seem that this is directly linked to the concrete issue. At least if it were, there would be just one main construction failing to worry about...
