The shelter's server fried itself, which means that all of the paperwork and notes that I'd stored on it since September all went up in a puff of logic.

I backed up some of it, but most of it's gone.

Bleah.

Like won't boot dead or disk doesn't spin dead? Or virii dead?

If it's #1 or #3 a lot is probably recoverable with relative ease...

Well, from what the tech-lady told me, somebody switched off the power to the server room, and the disk drive suffered actual physical damage as a result.

I'd go poke at it if I had the time, but that's not what they're not-paying me to do. :-)
