Aha! Now is there a way to make the brightness less glaring off his knuckles and forehead? And are you using Photoshop for this? I can't make Photoshop bend to my will. *pout*
I'm actually deeply fine with bald(ing) and I like short hair in general, but I had a lover for awhile whose head would sweat in rivulets during times that, shall we say, his face was hovering over mine and he was very physically active. It was gross enough that I almost asked him to wear a bandanna, but then he got weirder and I stopped seeing him. (Ah, the olden days. . . that was quite awhile back.)
My Grandad has had a sign up in his bedroom forever which says "Bald is Beautiful." Learning how to read that was formative for me. I think it stuck. ;)
Open up the picture in photoshop and duplicate the base (this way if you screw up, you still have the original to go back to
Next, go to the image menu and select adjustments, From adjustments pick "selective color"
Now you will be able to control the saturation of each color individually. Since the photo is way too yellow, select yellows from the drop down list of colors.
You'll see that for each color, you can adjust the amount of Cyan, Magenta yellow and black.
Decrease the yellow by about 77 and magenta by 30 or so, and it will start to look more normal.
But it's still doing wierd things on his forhead and knuckles..
Staying in selective color, select "whites" in the "colors menu) and increase the amount of black to 100% (relative, not absolute), and adgust the yellow and magenta so it looks less wierd.
Ok, now to deal with the wierdness on his forhead and knuckles. For his forhead, I used the clone stamp tool (the icon on the main side pallete that looks like a stamp) Alt click on the darker parts of the forhead and then click on the lighter parts of the forhead and the color should even out.
For the knuckles, I used color burn, and painted over the really white bits in flaesh tones, and blurred the sharp lines. It's not fabulous, but it's the most I have time to do.
Need to stop porcrastinating and get back to thesising.
