Okay, I don't usually talk about the nitty-gritty of my internship in my blog, but I figure this is worth a shot.

One of the families I work with is finally moving into housing. Before they can move, however, they need to have beds, and most of our regular sources are completely out at the moment. Ideally we'd be looking for two twin-sized beds (for the two older boys, 9 and 14), and a double/full-sized bed or larger for the parents. We've already got a crib for the little one, so she's set.

We'll be able to arrange pickups and everything, and you might be able to get some sort of tax writeoff or something.

Thanks!!

This isn't the sort of thing that can be picked up cheap at Hadassah?

I hope the mattresses they get are vetted for bedbugs.

Sometimes even cheap is more money than most non-profits have for this sort of thing.

I'd try the local Freecycle group. Our group in Jersey always has bedding listed from moving people and remodellers. I can't imagine Boston being any different.

Freecycle good. Or, if you find something cheaper via Craig's List, I'll donate the funds up to $300.
