i am not a terribly nit-picky fan (the experience of getting burned by The Phantom Menace knocked that tendency out of me), neither am i familiar with the spider-man story in particularly great detail. having given those disclaimers, i can honestly say that i really enjoyed the movie. it did a good job of capturing a lot of what i think of as the essence of spider-man, and besides, it was in general a well-put-together movie (aside from one somewhat jarring plot jump).
i think you're more familiar with the Marvel universe than i am, so i'll be interested to hear your opinions afterwards. :)
