Any Wainwright Bank customers out there in LJ-land?

and if so, are you happy with them?

Yes, very happy.

They're competent, their online banking/bill-pay doesn't suck (although it's only updated nightly), and they don't try to fee you to death. It makes me happy.

Did they ever join the SUM network? I remember being surprised the few times I have tried to use their ATMs, only to be offered a user fee.

I'm thrilled with Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), if that helps.

Ah, I see they did. Carry on....

oh yes - [livejournal.com profile] chaiya and i like them a great deal. ask one of us to tell you the story of why i switched my personal account from BayBankBankBostonFleetBank of America.

my only gripe with Wainwright is that their online banking system only shows up to yesterday’s balance, but i’m learning to deal. in other respects i find that it is superior to Bank of America’s bloated crap.

I've been with Wainwright for ... two or three years now. The senior bank officers recognize me on sight and usually remember my name, due to the name change processing I've done (twice!). They've had a recent glitch in their computer that reverted my name back to the original birth certificate version, but other than that, I've been extremely happy with them and happy to invest in a pro-community, pro-lgbt bank with a very personal and personable feel.

That, and Wainwright offers a cookie to those who get friends to bank with them. So if you decide to go to Wainwright, feel free to let them know we recommended you? :)
