Goodness, the "International" Serenity trailer (http://www.cantstopthesignal.co.uk/trailer/) is so much cooler than the US one. Why do studios assume that all that we as Americans are interested in is gratuitous explosions and fight scenes?

I don't know you

but I stumbled across your journal - saw this entry - watched the clip (cause I loved the show and can't wait for the movie) and wanted to thank you for posting the link - as I've re-posted it in my journal.

thats all.....

as for answering your question.... - I find alot of companies make two sets of everything - one for the USA and one for everyone else (I've even seen them do it for music videos - not just commercials) - they cater them towards what they think their target audience would like. you don't like it - yell at their marketing deepartment.

Duh. :)

Unfortunately.

Don't take me wrong, I enjoy the occasional gratuitous explosion and/or fight scene, but Serenity's got so much more than that.

To be fair, it's also a later trailer (how long ago was the US Serenity trailer released?) so they had more time to think about how to market it.

Who's to say there won't be yet another American trailer that's even cooler?

SHINY!

Actually, it looked remarkably similar to the trailer I saw prior to "Batman Begins."

Huzzah!
