aribA very adorable kitten has peed on my mattress.
Help?
The current plan, once roomie returns from the supermarket, is to drench it with a water/vinegar mix, wait for it to dry, then use a mix of baking soda and peroxide to try and address the odor.
(It was a small cat, so there was only a small amount of pee, but still, it smells quite noticeably. I really don't want to find out that I have to replace the mattress, it's less than a year old. Also, it's a pillow-top, so I can't just flip it over.)
Help?

Date: 2005-07-01 03:58 am (UTC)Vinegar and hot-water mix seems to have knocked out most of the odor (the fizzing noise it made when it hit my mattress was entertaining as well). Hopefully, baking soda and peroxide mix will get rid of the rest.
