Class today...

Taught the EMT class at BU this evening.

There was only way I could describe one of the groups of students I was working with to another instructor.

"These kids must be riding the short ambulance or something..."

hmmm...makes me remember an incident were I got to experience some EMT's from the short bus. I was in a car accident a little over a year ago and although I was wearing my seat belt I was thrown into the windshield (never trust an El Camino, it can't decide wether it is a truck or a car so it shouldn't be allowed to transport people ) When they loaded me into the ambulance, they were shocked to discover a large bruising area that went from my shoulder to my waist (they had been told I was wearing a seat belt), to the point they wrote in my transport papers that there was a possible case of abuse.I was 7 months pregnant and quite noticibly so and they asked if I may possibly be pregnant....needless to say this scared me. I was quite happy to see the trauma nurse.
