Is it just me, or does L-Dopa sound like a Spanish neurotransmitter?

Well, okay, I don't know that, but it's not me.
Of course

Matt Pius used to run around the halls at Brandeis yelling, "I am EL-DOPA!" in a fake Spanish accent and swishing a cape.
He claimed that El Dopa was not only a Spanish neurotransmitter, but a Spanish superhero with the ability to make people fall asleep.
