I just watched ER, and now I'm sitting here crying.

They followed one patient with liver failure from his arrival in the ER until he died an hour later, all done in real-time.

Really strong stuff.

Wow! I am kind of surprised that they would have shown that on television -- I would have thought that some of the things that happen in an ER are the kinds of happenings people would want not to see (something I know firsthand), and I would have included watching a man die of liver failure in real time as one of them.

This raises the question as to whether or not it was appropriate and/or in good taste. I did not see the show, so I have no idea. What do you think?
