Overheard from a conversation between a casemanager and an insurance rep:

"That discharge plan sounds very caring, but it's not financially sound..."

I know socialized healthcare isn't any better, but... grah.

Both types of systems have pluses and minuses. I'm living in the birthplace of the social health system, so I'm biased, but I do prefer the system I have. I shudder to think how broke I'd be paying for Odin, or how exhausted I'd be fighting an HMO for the stuff he needs.
