Why does listening to a group of Indians and Pakistanis discuss the cultural implications of the current cricket match make me feel content?

I don't know the first thing about cricket, really.

here's a reasonably concise overview of the game. now, this won't help you understand what's going on in the world of cricket at present, but it'll at least help you speak the language.

Not sure why it makes you feel so content, but it is a major reconciliation between the countries. Just a few years ago it would have bene inconceivable for an Indian cricket team to tour Pakistan. And being the primary sport in both countries, this tour is indeed seen as having major (and positive) implications for the regional culture and politics.
