El Presidente is apparently going to announce plans to fund, among other things, a return to and permanent human presence on the moon, a replacement for the space shuttle and a manned mission to orbit, if not land on, Mars.

Dubya's pandering to the geek vote!

I'm still not planning on voting for him, but I may be willing to appreciate him a bit more if it all works out.

There is no way in hell I'm ever voting for that man, ever.

But this does raise the bar, in a good way, and I can't wait to see how the Democratic candidates "answer".
