More Firefly musings...

Guess what kind of noise the ships make when they're in space? None! Hooray for pretending to obey the laws of physics! (sorta)

There was a throwaway Jewish character named Amnon in one episode. He wore a kippah, this makes me happy. Unlike Gene Roddenberry's tendency to shy away from religion on Star Trek, Joss made more than a few references, even if they were mostly vague.

They're snarky. This is always good.

and if wanting to crawl into the back of the engine room with Kaylee is wrong, then I don't want to be right. :-p

It appears we're learning about Firefly together. :)

I'll share Kaylee with you, really!

I kind of like the cultural/ethnic/religious mix on this show.

But once I figured out where I recognized The Shepherd from (with help from Casey and Andy), it's hard for me to disconnect those roles, now.

Oh, good. Now we just need to pry her away from Simon...

What other role did the actor who plays Shepherd Book play?

He was Detective Harris on Barney Miller.

But was it a shower-kippah?

Ah, you know the story. >:)

In space, no one hears you say the bracha.
