I thought you'd never ask.

First up is Kim Newman's The Hound of the D'Urbervilles. This book follows the evil schemes of Sherlock Holmes villain Professor Moriarty, as written by his henchman Sebastian Moran. I'm a little over two chapters in so far, and I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm a big fan of Holmes, and especially like seeing the Holmes story told from different angles. I bought this one sight unseen after a Facebook recommendation by [livejournal.com profile] doctor_toc.

Next up is this month's issue of Asimov's, which has a story written by my friend Leah Cypess. This is her second story in Asimov's, and her first cover credit. I'm really happy for her, and excited to read the story.

Yesterday, I bought a copy of Shadow Ops: Control Point, by Myke Cole after readin his Big Idea post on . Magic abilities meet the modern day military, as written by a veteran.
