This leads to far too much fun in the office.

I have a "This is Not a Label" sticker on one drawer. (thanks, Steve).

Then, there's the candy drawer. Everyone keeps complaining about how they keet taking candy from the drawer, and they really should stop. Hence:

"This isn't the candy you're looking for. Move along."

Hopefully the Jedi Mind Trick will work via labels.

I would just like to point out that it was I who came up with the "this is not a label" label that's on Steve's car. Mew!

indeed, i merely came up with the label-maker. and i suspect that "Mew!" should perhaps be interpreted as a "Ner!". :)

You could combine the two!

"New!" (But that's already been taken)

or

"Mer!" Which I suppose you could say if you were annoyed while underwater.

no, that would be "Merblrblrblrblrblrblr!", which is not quite the same thing.

Wow. I suppose being annoyed underwater is just not quite as effective as being annoyed while on dry land. It must be a lot harder to get your point across without someone thinking you need an emergency rescue!

Let me just say how much I giggled at the thought of you are Ari sitting at the bottom of a swimming pool making angry faces and saying "Merblrblrblrblrblrblr!"

I am addicted to the "Hello, my name is" stickers that don't actually have "Hello, my name is" written on them - ie, they're blank. Last year, pre-NaNo, I bought a package and some markers, and went on a sticker spree. I made wordcount stickers for myself, and decorated my laptop with stickers that said things like "Will write for cookies," "Caution: Writer at work. Dangerous andwhen Disturbed," and "No Plot? No problem! NaNoWriMo2002."

Was tres fun.

My darling mother, who loves to enable me, bought me a high-tech label maker for my birthday a few years ago. I saw it in the store and shrieked "Martha Stewart has one, I must have one, too!" So, the label-maker is dubbed "Martha" and I am said to be possessed by Ms. Stewart whenever I drag it out. Basically, run in fear, 'cause I'll label anything that stands still long enough.

What about a "Don't fear the labeler" label for yourself? ;-)

i miss label makers.

you could make a label for yourself that says, "I am not slacking off", and simply point to it if someone yells at you for slacking off with label maker fun. no need for words. you have labels!

Good thing it wasn't a drawer of curiously strong mints.
