and still no word from unemployment. Feh.

I'm not at the point where I need to start asking people for loans, but I may have to start collecting on money I've loaned out to people, something I don't like having to do, bleah.

I know you don't want to. But people can't just coast along forever on the goodwill and forgetfullness of others. You have paid, so must they.

Yes, but on the rare occasions when I loan people money, I expect it repaid whenever it's convenient for the person borrowing from me. It's me helping someone out, not planning on making a profit or anything like that.

Yeah. You're just more kindhearted and relaxed about that sort of thing than I am, I think. I don't take money-lending lightly. While I don't expect to "make a profit" or anything, I still do expect to be paid back as soon as they possibly can. The faster you pay me back the better your chances of getting a favor again down the road. It's alllll give and take.

I used to be like that, and still usually am. But then there was the time the "friend" who owed me 50 bucks from over a month before started posting in his LJ about all the new clothes and $200 shoes he was buying...
