You can get geek, level 2 if you hexedit the firmware to change something before you upload it. Or you'll break your toy :)

progress bars went *blinkyblinky*

little red light on MP3 player went *flashyflashy*

and now it reacts better when I hit the forward and reverse buttons, as well as various intangible file transfer speed doodahs.

Don't want to break toy, too busy breaking computer. :-)

on the geek subject, I upgraded the firmware on my eTrex GPS widget -- they were up to 3.10 from 2.50, which is a *really* big gap. :P
