Got a call from HR today, apparently, they want someone with more experience for the position. Argh.
Apparently you need to work for five years before you're entitled to earn a living wage in this industry.
Bugger that. Anyone know of any good headhunters in the area?
Anyway, some mild humor.
I had my CPR/AED recertification yesterday, and got to play with a trainer version of the new automatic defibrilatiors. That's not the funny part, though.
While paging through the manual, I came across the emergency childbirth section. Towards the end of the procedure in large bold letters is the phrase "avoid dropping the baby"
I did not need to reminded of that, thanks. Also, shouldn't it simply be "don't drop the baby?" "Avoid" makes it sound like "If you reeeally have to, you can drop the baby, just try and catch it on the first bounce."
Or something.
