[Rabbit-Hole Day]
Jan. 28th, 2005 12:14 amInteresting day today. Woke up this morning, showered, dressed, took the 8AM Slipstream down to Epsilon Eridani 4, and went to my internship.
You'd think practicing therapy on aliens would be difficult, seeing as they're so... well, alien, but it's not. They're a lot easier for me to read, thanks to the neural implants I got when I started school. In a few more months they'll finally get them calibrated enough that I can actually start practicing with humans, which should be interesting.
So, had a session doing triples therapy with a set of, well, I guess we'd say newlyweds. Turns out the ambigendered member of the set was having trouble with the other two sets of in-laws, as each one wanted hir to carry the first offspring, when sie really wanted to take on an implanting role the first time around.
It'll be 80 years before they're even able to have kids, I'm not sure why they're raising a fuss about it now. I'll need to talk to my supervisor.
(and I thought my friends *here* had problems with the way family systems work. Sheesh.)
Ow.
Headmail's coming in...
Tsk. Looks like they need me back in Argus 5, I'm the only EMT trained to treat Kweltharkians for at least five parsecs, and they just had a major roadway disaster during a welcoming parade for the new Kweltharkian ambassador.
Lousy trans-light timelag, I was supposed to be going to bed soon. Oh, well.
