If I recall correctly, I think they were using that episode of Assignment: Earth as a backdoor pilot, to try to create a show about those astronauts set in the future. But the network didn't seem to go for it

I know. :-) I thought it'd be fun to reverse the concept.

Maybe two universes over, Assignment:Earth was a cool sci-fi/spy show in the sixties, and they tried to back-door pilot Star Trek, to no avail.

As much as I approved of the A:E movie relaunch last month, I kind of question the duo of Matt Damon/Angelina Jolie as Gary and Roberta...
