I liked the first episode a lot too, especially the way he's not sure if the "real world" of 2006 is impinging on a fantasy world, or is he's really in the 1970s.
I was but a kid in the year 1973, but the look seems fairly accurate.
And how about it taking two weeks to get the forensics back on a fingerprint? Oy!
