aribThis evening I actually sat and watched Fox News for about 45 minutes or so (most of Hannity and Colmes). Politics aside (and Colmes really isn't much more than an ineffective puppet liberal), they condescend to their audience to such a point that it made me feel like they were being insulting.

dafydd has made some thought-provoking posts about the goings on in Israel and Lebanon. Dad and I spoke about a lot of what's going on there right now, and we agreed that it really sucks to be an Israeli civillian living anywhere north of Haifa, or a Lebanese civillian living south of Beirut.
(On a more personal note, I've met a fair number of folks from Lebanon or of Lebanese descent [including a classmate], and to a person, they're some of the friendliest people I've come across. it sucks that Syria and (by extension) Iran decided to squat in their country.
