So far...

One virus, one fairly malignant and tough-to-remove bit of spyware, and everything's still running slow.

Ugh. It's like swimming in molasses.

Did you get hit by "Lien van de Kelder.exe"? That one just attacked my XP box. Vicious and well-written form of evil. Too bad the guy doesn't write useful software cuz it'd never crash.

Then seeing as how it's based on 2k (which I use), you shoud be able to go to start/run, and then type 'taskmgr' in the box and hit enter.

Seems like the bulk of the resources get taken up by Outlook and Firefox. Not too surprising.
