That Tuesday-night/Wednesday-morning pairing looks especially suckful. 8 hours to get home, sleep, get up/shower/dress, (daven, I assume), do breakfast, and get back to work? I hope the commute isn't too long.... How long are you stuck with this schedule before it changes again?

Yeah, I have to agree on that. They aren't going to give you enough time to sleep between Tuesday evening shift and Wednesday morning. I suggest you ask them to switch the shifts around - for example, SM 7:30-4 TuW 4-Mid F 7:30-3:30. This way you have the day to catch up.

(BTW, my place, while not in your area of expertise, *is* hiring)

Because the program I work for is so small, they can't really schedule very freely. OTOH, They're trying to arrange for me to have Fridays and Saturdays off, instead of Thu. and Saturday.

In other news, I just heard back from Children's Hospital about a research position I applied for, we'll see where that leads.

yeah ...

With a 90-minute commute ... that's nasty.

As far as I know, it's permanent for the duration.
