So, I went to watch tonight's game at The Kells a local so-called Irish bar with some friends. The Sox won, we gathered our coats, celebrated mildly (I acted with grace and charm, then got the frell out of Dodge), and went home.

During the ten minute walk, we saw:

-A car with it's rear bumper kicked off

-At least a dozen demolished newspaper machines

-A pack of drunken asshats kicking the trolley stop's handicap access ramp to pieces, since it was big and metal, and made nice loud smashy noises.

That last one really pisses me off.

Drunk people have poor judgement.

Please, I'd had a few to drink, you didn't see me beating on poor defenseless access devices. :-)

You missed Channel 5's coverage of the BU students playing tetherball with a dismantled traffic light.

I thought they were supposed to bloomin' be happy. Happy people, last I checked, don't destroy things. I don't get it. At all.

If so- maybe we should just provide the Hulk/fans some large noisy things to smash by the stadium so they can get it out of their system before they emerge out near public and private property and things of importance? There must be some nice cars destined for compacting or something of the sort that the stadium officials or whoever could purchase cheaply- especially if they do so in bulk. And it would make for Very funny pictures...

now now, be fair - you don't know all the facts of the situation. don't overlook the possibility that the access ramp in question might have been a Yankees fan.

Seeing as it was manufactured in Europe and shipped here, it was probably a Euroleague Football fan, if anything.

This is me, feeling your pain... I used to be an EMT in NYC and the destruction that was caused after games was just unbelievable, and forget about after the subway series (Mets VS Yankees) Just hoards of drunken asshats everywhere. *shudders*
