We have devices smaller than your hand that can hold the combined musical works of dozens of composers.

We've got cures or vaccinations for diseases that, in previous years, killed millions

international travel no longer requires weeks on a boat

We've landed on Mars twice in the last three weeks, and are planning more trips.

Despite how crazy things are these days, I really am glad to be living here and now. I think people who want to live in the middle ages or some such are nuts. Modern technology is fun, and really, really useful.
