The international language...
Jan. 11th, 2007 10:25 pmAt work the other day, I was talking with one of my co-workers about a case he was working on. (For the intents of this post, you need to know that he's latino. But I digress...)
He's describing the case, and his client's had a really rough past few months, lots of bad things happening to the guy all at once. Hearing all of it, I lapsed into Yiddish long enough to say "Oy, nebach." This got me an odd look until I clarified things with "I mean, 'Ay, pobrecito.'"
