Dec. 17th, 2003 12:58 pmApparently, French president Jacques Chirac is attempting to pass a law banning the wearing of conspicuous religious symbols, such as a yarmulke, keffiyeh or hijab.
Apparently, in France, freedom of religion is allowed. Just do it in the privacy of your own homes where nobody can see you, and wash your hands afterwards.
edit: Correction, the ban would only apply to public schools. Still, feh.
