A few weeks ago, my friend Emily invited me over for Shabbat lunch, as she was hosting around a dozen people, and felt I should meet people my own age in the area.

Had a wonderful time. Met lots of normal people, and didn't freak them out. :-)

Got added to their e-mail list, and invited to a Hanukkah party on the fifth.

Telephone call from work to home today:

Me: Hey, Dan. It's supposed to start snowing tonight, and last through tomorrow.

Dan: I know, three to six inches.

Me: You know what a good thing to do before it snows would be?

Dan: No, what?

Me: Oh, something simple like take the air-conditioner out of the window!

Dan: riiiight...
