I've never been big on my writing ability. I tend to come up with half-ideas that would make nice plot points, but often have trouble getting out a whole storyline, or getting a whole story onto paper.
I've helped friends who are writers with things, ranging from editing, to plot ideas, to terminology. I coined the term "coming out of the phonebooth" to denote when a superhero reveals his secret identity to someone. My friend Mordechai, who's in the comcs industry had the following reaction, "I hate you, it's perfect. Can I use it, pleeeeez?"
I finally knckled under and submitted my audition to the Reparo shared-fiction RPG that's on Livejournal. Hopefuly it'll pan out. I think it'll be good for me to do writing as a fun activity before I start doing it as a fully creative endeavor.
