(This was written last night, but LJ wouldn't let me post...)

Thing with co-worker was resolved rather neatly, without anyone needing to get fired.

We had an outside observer come to work today, to see if our company could qualify for an accreditation which would entitle us to more grant money...

Midway through her visit, 911 had to be called for our asthmatic client, who's now hospitalized...

Talk about timing, huh?

"Ari, we're dealing with -Client- right now, could you go to the office, call 911, print out a copy of -Client's- medsheet to give to the EMTs, and keep -Observerwoman- occupied?"

"uh... Sure boss. Send in the new guy, huh?"

"Absolutely..."

Still, it all went well, and I'm glad my boss saw fit to trust me with all that responsibility, despite their being four other staffers around, as well as the uberboss and someone from the main office.

Now, if only they gave out raises...

After work I went to a Grey Eye Glances concert at Passim. It was weird going by myself, but none of the people I called in the past week were free, this is what happens when my weekend's on Thursday...

They've got some great new stuff, and they played "Even" which always makes me misty.

Right now I'm buying my ticket to Portland for the PNW Callahans Annex next month.

Other than that, I've been doing a wonderful job screwing things up, as usual.

I've heard from Mom, who's in Israel. The hospital she's consulting at is treating victims of the bombings over the past two days, and she was working on some of them, as she's a trauma nurse. Go, Mom!.

(For those of you in the Boston area, the driver of one of the buses was a cousin of Rami Cohen, the owner of Rami's Felafel...)

and it's late, too damned late.

g'nite all.

So, when we were waiting for the inspector person to come yesterday, my co-worker E was waiting by the window, to see if her car would pull up by the house, the following conversation ensued...

"Ari! ,A car just pulled up across the street with two white women in it, looks like a new car, too!"

The uberboss and I both yelled back similar replies, which ran along the lines of,

"Two white women in a late model car? In this neighborhood? Quick! hide the silver!"

followed by a few minutes of barely controlled laughter. Yeah, we were on edge.

(Oh yeah, it was the inspector, along with R, from the main office.)

Having my dad look even more like me than he usually does is creepy

Chiropracted, hung out with Dani and discussed his final grades with him, which mainly consisted of me sitting and nodding while he ranted about the same teachers I used to rant about.

Then I kicked his butt at Goldeneye for the N64... :-)

After that, I went clothes shopping, got jeans, Dockers, shorts and (cue the happy music) boxer briefs.

Quite fond of them, actually.

Okay, anyone in the Boston area interested in seeing Minority Report anytime in the relatively near future?

e-mail me or reply here with your available times, and we'll see what can be arranged....

I just did my first solo night-driving.

As well as using my folks' car alone for the first time ever.

Sure, it was just around the corner and up the block to the parking lot, since I'm not insured, but still...
