Lots of you have probably heard me talk about my friend Mikey, who's got Cystic Fibrosis.

I just found out that he went in for a lung transplant either last night or this morning.

More as I hear it...

*sigh*

New update, apparently, they found a tumor in the transplant lung, so they can't implant it.

Dammit!

"... and why doesn't Ross, the largest friend, simply eat all of the other smaller, more annoying friends?"

Gotta love Futurama...

Anyway, on to my musing du jour...

Yes, traditionally, Valentine's Day is meant as this big, gushy, romantic holiday, sponsored by the greeting card industry.

Couples are meant to get all cutesy and nauseating, husbands are expected to bring their wives chocolate and roses, and possibly some nice lingerie if they're feeling frisky.

Right now, I'm not in a relationship, and I don't really know how to go underwear shopping, anyway...

So, today I've been letting my friends know that I appreciate them, and value their friendship.

Yes, I think I weirded a few people out, but it made me feel good. :-) (expressing the emotion, that is, not making people feel weird...)

So, if I've missed you, and I probably have, thank you.

Thanks for being there when I've needed y'all, and believe me, I have over the past year or so.

It's appreciated.

Okay, done being random now...

So very cute.

I want a cat, preferably a kitten. Yet another reason to get my own place.
