Back of throat is white and slimy looking, fever has gotten as high as 103, but is down to 100.4 now, glands are swollen.

Is this strep?

Quite possibly... if the fever pops up again I'd suggest getting tested.

could be, love. If a trp swab comes out negative, and you're still ick, don't let them give you antibiotics without running a mono test first. Antibiotics when you have mono can give you a naty rash and do ugly things to your kidneys.

Had strep last summer (yep, while unemployed...) and what you're decribing is close to the same symptoms I had.

You might want to get tested ASAP before you start coughing up blood with the white spit, sweetie. Just fyi.
