What is "Bend It Like Beckham" (other than a movie) and why is it called that?
It makes me imagine Posh Spice's husband getting it up the ass.

Yeah.
Today was a crap day, made me feel better.
"No, I *really* like Beckham..."
hee. Friend of mine came out to me that way, so the line was very resonant. :-)

*grins* Yay again! I'll just add you to the list of people I convinced to see this movie who loved it. We're up to, oh, 15 now. :D

Just found out that the actress who played Jess will be getting a role on ER next season as a med student.

It's a movie about a girl who's really into British football, and adores David Beckham.
Bending a ball is a Brit term for some sort of soccer move, and "nobody bends a ball like Beckham."
But yeah, it *does* sound like they're making the guy do something in a very uncomfortable place, and I don't mean the backseat of a Volvo...
