Apparently, it's "All Along the Watchtower," by Bob Dylan, most popularly covered by Jimi Hendrix, as well as many others according to itunes. If anyone could identify the covering band, I'd appreciate it.

Questions and implications:

1. Was this just an in-joke by cast and crew, or is it the equivalent of the original BSG's detecting the Apollo 11 moon landing?

Given that they showed Earth at the end, I'm inclined to believe the latter. I literally jumped up and down and yelled at the TV at the end of this one.

2. Are Torry, Anders, Tyrol and Tigh actually Cylons?

Meh. Jury's out on this one. I'd be inclined to say no. The three leaders of the New Caprica insurrection and the president's aide all Cylons? Too easy.

3. Do we really need to wait until 2008?!?

Yes and no. There's a two-hour TV movie coming out in Q3 or Q4 of 2007.
